Arizona Trail Passage 4 Temporal Gulch Closure

The Coronado National Forest has closed a portion of Temporal Canyon Road (Forest Road 72) between Temporal Gulch Trailhead and Anaconda Spring in the Santa Rita Mountains, including a 4.7-mile segment of the Arizona National Scenic Trail along Passage 4 (Temporal Gulch). The ATA has developed a scenic detour nearby that is clearly marked with orange flagging. This road closure and new trail detour are expected to last from December 2018 through May 2019 while the Forest Service conducts an important mine reclamation project.

Please visit aztrail.org for a map of the temporary bypass or rely on the Guthook Guides smartphone app to help you navigate around the road/trail closure.

eHikes - Current Hikes

The distinction between eHikes and Current hikes has been eliminated, all SAHC hikes are now Current Hikes. The Hike Schedule Form and the Hike Results form reflect this change.  There is no longer a checkbox for eHikes available, please do not include eHike in your hike title.
